DH's house has no internet!!! I brought my laptop here and jumped onto a network but it's a low connection.
Can I buy one of those booster cards to fix the problem?
I'll go nuts over here late at night with no internet! I am afraid to close the laptop that tomorrow I will loose the wireless network!..lol

Be careful if you are on someone's unsecured network because they can see whatever it is you are doing such as passwords and stuff. Especially if you do online banking I wouldn't go on an unsecured network.

you can get an aircard, but if you are using one of his neighbors connections it may not help. also, i wouldn't worry about using it...if it's unsecured, then most likely that person won't be looking at what you are doing cuz they aren't smart enough to secure their own stuff

no it's not a neighbors'. It is links network! What can I get for it to work? Where do I get the air card? Can you explain better? Thanks!

i'm not sure what you mean by 'links network'? there are 2 things you could look for, and aircard that will provide you service (like a cell phone...monthly fee) or you can get a card that will boost your ability to pick up wireless connections. both would plug into your usb port.

my router at home was Linksys ( I can't spell it) So a network that came up by me is links it's unsecure too!
What excatley do I need to buy to boost it? I think it will work. Also an air card costs how much? Should I go and talk to someone at Best Buy? Having no internet at night when hubby is working is killing me!
