in a previous post, someone had the idea to get the guests to write something more than just advice to make it more interesting. she had some ideas like predictions for the newlyweds (like how many kids they'll have) and favorite memories of bride and groom. i can't think of any good ones (only come up w/ stupid ones) - any suggestions?

I am trying to come up with a poem.. It will be done really soon since we are getting married in 4.5 days!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post it when I finish. Please share what you have!

i wish i remembered whose idea it was- she is titling the beginning of her poem or whatever she was using (can't remember) - 'Wit, Wisdom, & Wishes' or something like that- I thought that was cute.

i like the platter too- i just went to a wedding w/ the platter- it was really cute
unfortunately i can't do it bc we have over 300 guests coming and a platter may be too congested for that. :-(

jodi- going to crest hollow tomorrow to do all those things. have you picked everything out? it seems like we have a million things to discuss- how is everything going to get done?
have you even seen what you can pick for the cocktail hour and dinner? we have no idea bc he didn't show us when we booked.

I have not gone yet to pick anything out. I do have a copy of the menu choices that came in the folder when I was first looking at the place.
Who is your BM? Mine was Charles, but he is not there anymore so I am going to use Jeff. He showed us the place originally, but when we went to book, he was out that day.
Which room are you in again? My grandma went to a wedding there a few weeks ago and I took her there, so I went inside to see how everything looked. She said the service was incredibly great!

they have platters for 300+ if oyu want - or you could alwyas get two smaller ones....

jodi- i'm in the plaza (room to the left upstairs). i forget where you are - starlight?
my banquet manager is jeff- he reminds me of a game show host.
i feel like i still have a lot of things to do but i'm not really sure if i can start on these things before i get the responses back. i am sure there is a lot left- i am just missing things.
how are your plans going? i'll let you know how tomorrow goes when i do all the selections.
pschica- thanks for the suggestion. i already bought my wish bowl and made the cards so i'm probably just stick w/ that. how are you making out w/ your preparations?? i'm so nervous!
