when you have a poem in a frame explaining the wish bowl... its instead of or an addition to the guest book.. i chose to do it as well as the guest book.

Re: wish bowl wording?
This is what we did, we made the pens into flowers. The saying is:
Pick a flower To write your wishes For years of happiness To the new Mr. & Mrs.
From each of your experiences Comes a very treasured gift A piece of hidden knowledge We didn’t know exists Please share with us your wisdom About marriage, love, and life How to be a loving husband Or the perfect wife Please write your thoughts and gestures To share with us for life For the greatest gift of all Is the gift of your advice
We put the saying in a frame near the bowl.

Re: wish bowl wording?
I tend to keep things simple. Mine said 'Please share your wedding wishes with the bride and the groom.'
Here was our wish bowl table. It had our e-pic on it as well as our parent's wedding photos. It was funny because my parents were married in 1956. DH's were married in 1969 and the fashions were so different! Neither my mom or DH's parents expected to see thier pictures, butit was a great way to celebrate two long marriages. My parents would have celebrated their 50th this past May and DH's parents celebrate their 37th.
