i have been doing taekwondo for over a year now - and REFUSED to take the test to move up in belt rank all along - until today!
i will be taking the test tonight for low yellow belt- AHHHH - WISH ME LUCK!!
anita - what can i expect?? any words i need to know?

Good luck! DH is high up in the Tae Kwon Do belt ladder, I forget what color though.
He had to break a board with his foot for the test I attended. I don't know if that's the same for yellow though.
When I saw his test, he had to do a form, and then spar. He hated forms, said they were boring.

I just realized, yes, he had to answer questions. I forgot that part!

Good luck!!! you will be fine!! it is easy!! are you doing just the form or do you need to break the board??
I had to do both for each belt...The board is easy at your level...they will most likely tell you to do a punch for the board..later belts you will need to kick......hit it in the middle and it will break right away....
Now you made me want to get my black belt...I stopped at 4th degree red (one below black).......

no thank god - i will not be breaking!! yellow - is just a step above beginner - i am such a shem.
i have my form down pat and am finally getting quick enough to spar. i used to hate it cause i would just stand around while someone beat my azz - but i am finally getting quick enough to anticipate whats coming and how to get the hell out of the way!!

OMG - you are a red belt!! that is amazing!!
i watch the black belts and i want to take a nap after watching them do their forms - there are as many as 40+ moves in some of the higher belt forms.
no - i do not have to break tonight. thank god.
you should try to go for black belt - if i were to get as high as red - i would just keep going.
