SCORE! they are SO lenient in this county... they don't care if you did it or not, they just want money for the town! i walked in, they asked me if i thought i was speeding or if i just want to avoid points. i said that i just wanted to avoid points on my license. they are refunding me the amount of my ticket that i overpaid and they knocked the points down to 2, which are tentative. if i don't get a ticket within the next year, they don't apply the points to my record. i love it here!![]()

which county... i'm in Northhampton county
montomgery, about 15 mins. from center city phila.
Ahhh ok so that's about 40 min from me... I was in Philly last week for a conference.
i'm not familiar yet, either! we just moved here 6 months ago and i only know a few places in center city and the main line. car insurance is SOOOOOO much cheaper!! i love it!!! how do you like PA so far?
We actually moved at the end of august. I love philly and i wish i lived closer. I really enjoyed being there last week. Easton is definitely more on the quiet side but we moved here because of work and FSILs live in the area too so it was just easier to have people that i know around me. There are so many benefits to moving out here especially when it comes to our future. Real estate is so cheap. I'm glad we'll be able to raise our children in a house rather than an apt. I still miss NY though but we're close enough to NY that we actually go back 3 times a month to do wedding things and visit friends and family so we are in a good location to do that. How do you like PA?
Oh, I just LOVE it here. The people are friendly, my town is so fun, safe, and pretty (although a little expensive to rent or own on the Main Line), and the taxes are so much cheaper! So many advantages to living here. I agree with you that we'll have more opportunities (for much less money) in our future being in PA. I can't wait to buy a house out here and raise a family in such a wonderful place. AND as far as leaving family and friends, it really is a stone's throw away from NY compared to other places we could have gone. I think it's win-win all around!
