I am going to The Garden City Hotel tonight with my parents to look at the site. FI and I fell in love with it when we first saw it.

Unfortunately FI can't come with us tonight, he has to meet with a client and won't get out intime.

I am sure my dad will do all the talking since he is puttin up all the bucks, but any questions I should ask? I am freaking out that it won't happen....

Bloomingdales had a nice bridal show there last year.

Ok, Kim....first of all relax! The GC hotel is beautiful, I coordinated a fundraiser there. These are some questions I would ask, if you haven't asked already...

Since they have more than one event room, I'd want to know how many events they will do at a time? Are there any booked for your date yet? What types of events are they? They happen to have a good rep but I'd want to know what other clientelle will be roaming the hotel with my guests. Also ask if there is more than one event happening during your wedding, how many kitchens do they use? Does each room have a separate kitchen or is there one main kitchen that ALL the food comes out from? What is the table to server ratio?

Of course ask the ususal questions, what exactly is included in your per person price and get it in writing. Are centerpieces and/or cake included? Ask about a block rate on rooms. Ask anything that comes to mind, no matter how silly or small it seems. Your Dad I'm sure will come up with questions too, mine did.
