wish me luck guys!!

im going over my inlaws house today...and if u ever read my previous FMIL rants you would know...my inlaws are great MINUS FH's MOM

anyways shes having a little get together , some dinner, and im invited too- ill be happy to see FH but if you know her my FMIL= serious drama.

there will be other 'girls' in the house and she'll ignore me and start chatting with them and telling them how gorgeous they look [when the last girl she said that too look terrible , no offense, ] and i was standing right next to her and she never said a word to me, goesnt help out, still hasnt told me anything about the guest list, etc... i dunno she is just STRANGE...sometimes i think she has mental issues- which if that is the case i totally would not make a big deal out of anythiing then...i'd respect her behavior...but i dunno not that FH ever mentioned it that somethings wrong with her but who knows why she acts like that

anyways i hope i dont end up, - crying, sobbing, screaming, or come back depressed...

the best way to handle someone like FSIL is to ignore her behavior and act like it doesn't bother you...i know this sounds tough, but she sounds like she thrives on intentionally making you feel uncomfortable and ignoring you...if you act like you don't have a care in the world and she has no power over you it takes her power away

I agree... Your FMIL is just looking to get a reaction from you. Ignore it, as hard as that is. Honestly, if it was me, I would involve myself in the conversations that she is clearly trying to leave you out of. Turn the tables on her by acting sweet and she will end up looking like a b!tch. And who knows, maybe she will come around.

thanksss ill TRY, i am nice ...seriously i dont ever give her an attitude back, and i never go to their house empty handed, ill always bring a nice bottle of wine, cake/pies, or something small for the house... or ill cook and bring her fav dish or FH fav food...
