If you search the Brides Review Board for Westbury Manor - it will bring up reviews, I bet most have a picture of their cake.

You won't find a picture of my cake because my florist did very bad things to it. xjulietx posted pics of her WM cake in her review... tanbride and valentinegirl might also have used the WM cake. I can tell you that they use whip cream...fondant and flowers are extra..

Erga's Bakery in Bethpage is their bakery.

I think there are 6 styles of cakes. When you go for your menu, you will look through a book and get a sheet with the different options for frosting, filling and cake flavor.

Their cakes are VERY good! Like BJandDan said the bakery is Erga Bakery in Bethpage. We visited them to sample our cake...we chose an unusual wedding cake - carrot cake and it was the BEST I've ever had. Very moist!!!

I too didn't like the way the flowers were on the cake..., but that is my DOC fault because I told her EXACTLY what I didn't want and it was done anyway...

Anyway...here's mine...I wanted WAY LESS flowers!!! (Less is more..., but she didn't understand that...)

Our cake was a three tier stacked square cake for 110 people.

Also...if you plan on bringing in a cake from outside WM may expect you to sign a food waiver...not something I would be confident signing IMO. We also had a birthday cake for my Grandma and wanted to get it from a friend's bakery. We were advised by WM that we would have to sign a food waiver, so we opted to buy it directly from Erga. It was delivered with our wedding cake the day of.

Basically a food waiver is if any outside food is brought into the hall you're fully responsible if something God forbid goes wrong and someone wants to sue. Granted...they're your friends and family and wouldn't sue, but you just never know. I work in Insurance...I've seen just about everything happen.

RE: Fondant Pricing...Check the WM thread. I believe OCT05B2B posted info on there about her cake...I love it! So gorgeous!

Re: WM brides--cake questions

Hi SummerBride,

I went to Erga's bakery with attached pic. I wanted some chocolate element on the cake not as much from the pic but very similar. It was so great to meet the woman (sorry forgot her name) they gave us a few goodies to taste. And she said not a problem to do.

I originally was going with one of the 6 they offer to WM, the square one which WM had marked. However, after meeting with her and knowing she could I was ecstatic and went back to a round cake. I think there may have been a mix up b/c it turned out the cake was square. But I still loved the detail.

And yes we did spend another couple more hundreds because it was outside of the 6.
