Re: woa thank god I just remembered
Our dresses arent totally like the yellowish Ivory. When we went to Men's Wearhouse for the tuxes, I HATED the ivory shirts they showed us, they looked yellow and clashed with the colors we wanted the guys to wear. I showed our consultant my dress and she said white will be fine.

Re: woa thank god I just remembered
My dress is light ivory and the guys are wearing white shirts. I just didn't love the ivory shirts - liked the white ones so much more. I asked my photog about it and he said that would it wouldn't be a big deal.

Re: woa thank god I just remembered
so if i am in white? then FH needs to wear a white shirt? what about GM? i was going to do white shirt with platinum white vest for fh. and then ivory vests for GM - all with white shirts. will this work?

Re: woa thank god I just remembered
i literally had this exact same convo with FH. i'm going to bring a swatch of my dress and try to match it up. when they showed us ivory, he goes thats yellow, please tell me your dress isn't yellow
i started freaking out thinking what if my dress is yellowy but i'm just going to bring in a swatch and deal with it then.
i didn't think that all the guys should wear ivory shirts, but i guess they would all have to match

Re: woa thank god I just remembered
I went through the same thing with my FH. We went to the tux place and showed them a piece of my gown. My gown is platinium white and the women said he should get the same. My FH said the shirt looked dirty! (I'm now thinking great...he is going to hate my gown). Although I think the only reason he thought it looked dirty was because initially she had it next to the stark white shirt.
It will be all okay.

my dress is 'natural white'... not ivory, but not white. FH and GMs are doing white... HTH

in reality no one is going to notice either way! Our tux place basically told us that we could do either, it didn't matter. My dress was ivory, DH wore a white shirt, and seriously you couldn't even tell. Don't stress too much over it!

We went through the same at Men's Wearhouse. The groomsmen are going to wear white shirts and FH will wear ivory (as my dress is ivory).

So happy to hear you say that! I did stressover it because the guy at the tux shop acted like I was commiting a mortal sin by saying I wanted the guys in white shirts with my ivory dress. After I asked my photog I felt better about it, but its nice to hear it directly from someone who just did the same thing! Thanks!
