I feel bad for her family but you would think that an adult would know any better.

I do feel badly for her family... but she gets my vote for the Darwin Awards.

That's how my brother died, not doing a handstand but he fell from a balcony. It actually happens more often then you would think. The year after my brother died there were two other people who died from balcony falls. Kids do stupid things. Everyone thinks they are invincible!!! Sadly its the family they leave behind that suffer!!

thats so sad! why on earth would she do a handstand On the balcony. I am sorry that she died and feel bad for the family. my prayers are with the family

I'm surprised at how many people are shocked that someone would actually try something like this.

Please, we live in a society where people are constantly pushing the envelope .. and seriously .. 23 may be an adult based on a number .. but 23 is still young.

This is a horrible thing that happened .. but honestly .. there are plenty of people doing things everyday that fit into the category of 'what were they thinking?' (And sometimes even age has absolutely nothing to do with it.)

The 'Really Intelligent' part of this post is horrible. She died. People make mistakes all the time. She paid dearly...

yeah, apparently, she was confident in her ability to do handstands, so I guess she didnt'thiknit wasa big deal.

I was at a party & a girl was sitting on a 2nd floor railing on her cell phone, drunk, & I was so nervous that she was going to fall, & I told her, but she thought I was being over protective & thought it was sweet but wouldn't get down. So I stood there, with my hand behind here, untill she was done with her conversation & got up. I didn't want to eavesdrop, but I just had such visions of her splipping backward. Thank God she was ok.

This also happened to someone who I vaguely knew in college. He had droped out after freshman year andIlater heard he was visiting friends & drinking on a balcony & fell.

Boop, that's awful--I am sorry about your brother.
