I think shes CRAZY.....her mom was interviewed that one of her 6 older children is Autistic and requires special attention and she can't give him the attention he needs and she goes out and has 8 MORE kids.
they showed that on the interview, her son who has autism and another child has autistic traits.. as someone who works with autistic individuals the LAST thing in the world you would want to do is put them in an over stimulated environment i hate to say it but that child is not going to get the help he needs and is going to be a tortured little buy with all that noise and unpredictability

She also said she does not get any public assistance ..BUT she gets $417.00 in food stamps a month... She didn't think that was considered public assistance...HELLOOOOOOO!!?? She is a NUT!!!

Honestly, I'm probably going to get eaten alive for saying this, but I thank God the woman is on television now, because at least now everyone, all her neighbors, the teachers, and child protective services will all know to keep an eye on every one of her children.

i don't care what she says, she could be a good mom, but she is just selfish if she doesn't have the funds to take care of these kids. it isn't fair to them.
ITA! there is no question that she could LOVE her kids, but its about providing for them. She told someone in an interview that when she graduates she is sure she can make it work, but that she still wants to go back to school.
the SAME doctor did all of her in-vitro too, so he KNEW he shouldn't put that many in especially b/c of her age and situation. makes me sad for those babies.
you have to be self-less to be a mom, but she is selfish to want so many kids without the means to take care of them.

yes I think the Duggars are different in many ways, and I don't think they're catholic, i think they are christian though. The thing that upsets me with the Duggars is that, how can you give 18 kids the attention they deserve and need? I don't know how any human being can be capable of doing that!! you would have to be super human. And, I'm sure the Duggars got church donations at least.

I personally would not want that many children, but the Duggars are self sufficient. They maybe little crazy, but they are not on welfare and they don't have the state pay for their kids. They take care of them.

The duggars are insane and I hope all their kids turn out okay, dont get me wrong, but at least they did it because they're fundamental Catholics, not just because they were bored.
I believe they are Morman's not Catholic.

yes i agree!! that's why their situation is a little different! I will never understand it, but it's different. I'm sure it helps financially that they have a nice little TV show loL!

Also there is a family support system there is a husband, a wife, and their older kids help with the younger. I think that makes a difference. Than this crazy lady on welfare with all little kids.

look i dont care if u have 1 kid or 100 all i think is if u have a child make sure not only can u take of them with the money aspect but also the love and time each child needs..this story makes me just sad..for the kids...i pray that they will be taken care of

I think the doctor you let her have 8 more kids should go to jail and she obviously has some sort of mental problem... she should get therapy. In one of her interviews she said that she always wnated to be a mom because she wanted poeple to lvoe her because she had a bad childhood.. thats not a resaon to have so many kids and esp by yourself and with no job.. 3 of her kids already have disablities and some of her octuplets will probably have them too.
Plus she says she doesnt want to be on welfare but yet she recieves food stamps and govt aid for her disabled children.. umm.. that counts as welfare last time I checked. I have no issues with people who acutally need this but she was being selfish by having those kids, IMHO

Are you serious?? For DONATIONS?? That's absurd. IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THE 6 KIDS YOU HAVE... THEN YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS GETTING INVITRO for 8 MORE! It's not like John and Kate plus 8 (who I LOVE btw!)... they had 2 and wanted one more and got 6 and they can afford the ones they have. And even if they couldn't afford 8 they def could afford 3 (the 2 originals and the one new one from the Invitro or whatev procedure she had)... so it's a little more understandable. This woman is just looking for publicity. I also heard she is looking for a TV show deal. UGH! It's really the saddest for these kids. I'm not by any means saying people who don't have a lot of money shouldn't have kids.... to each their own... I don't feel that poor people should be denied the pleasure of experiencing parenthood.... but to go OUT OF YOUR WAY to have enough kids to run a farm with is uttery rediculous when you don't have the means to support them!

I DVR this show.. so I've seen almost every episode... I can't explain why i do it.. I just can't help it. They are DEFINATELY not Mormon's they are CATHOLIC! it was addressed in one issue. They said a lot of people believe they are mormons but tthey aren't.
