I just have to share how wonderful in laws can be. My FH is significantly older than I am so his family is kind of over the whole wedding thing, not to mention they are from OOT so the Long Island wedding production is lost on them. We went up this weekend to visit (4 hours away in FAR western Massachusetts) and they threw me a surprise bridal shower on Saturday. I was so touched and appreciative. FH's mom is 85 so it's going to be difficult enough for her to travel to the wedding... I never thought she or any of his family would be at the shower in LI. They were so awesome and actually invited my mom, aunt, and mom's best friend to the shower so they could meet before the wedding. What a wonderful surprise. They really went out of their way to make me feel part of the family. I am one lucky girl!
