Wonderful Vendor Day (DJ, Limo, Suits)
Okay - beginning to end today was the BEST vendor day!!!! Thank you to EVERYONE on LI Weddings for all the referrals!!
DJ - Kudos goes out to KitWisdom for the info on DJ Gaza(Brooklyn). Anyone who wants a DJ who isn't the typical, give-away type guy - he is your man!!!! Laid back, so personable, he's wonderful. He also doesn't charge an arm & a leg & the price is FLAT...no extras for ceremony/cocktail hour music, it's all one price!!! He gave us about 5 cd's so we could listen to how he blends the songs together and not miss a beat!!! We already told him he's hired, but the cd's are great, FH already said - we can just tell him to use one of the cd's - we like it so much!!!
Limos - Joe from Camelot (New Hyde Park) - I cannot say enough about how wonderful he was to talk to. When I first started calling limo places, i was getting completely overcharged. I called Joe, on a referral from the WONDERFUL Pastor April and he gave me a price so much lower than everyone else that I just had to meet him!! We met with him today and walked away so happy!! He was such a great guy, very personable & we even got to see one of the cars, as the driver was in the area. We left feeling we were 100% secure that he'd handle our day without a hitch.
Suits/Tuxes - Dante Zeller Formalwear - (Old Westbury). Maria helped us figure out exactly what to do for the guys in the bridal party & we even bought a suit for my dad. They are having a sale right now - 1/2 off suits - so GO if you need!!! We were there almost 2 hours getting my dad fitted, getting my FH fitted & his suit will be free because my dad bought 1 and we have 4 other renters. There are locations all over NY & NJ and you can have all your guys pick up wherever they want!!! It was sooo easy and convenient & Maria was a doll to work with!!!
Whoofty...i think i'm all vendored out for now! We now have video/photo/limo/dress/suits/dj/invites/BM gifts DONE!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone would like any info on any of the above vendors - please let me know! I did a TON of research on EVERYTHING, as FH has a very difficult to work with work schedule...so we really didn't have time to waste seeing 10 vendors per topic - ya know?
