Woodbury CC and Bridgeview Brides...Please help!

Hi Ladies! Happy Saturday:

I'd love some of your opinions, especially from ladies that got married at these venues.I have started to narrow down my choices and we can either do a Friday at Bridgeview (which i love!) or a Saturday night at WCC (which is a more $ but convenient for our many Out of town guests).

All you WCC brides, did you hear the music of the other wedding that was going on at the same time as yours? I love the venue but I am very concerned with having another wedding at the same time as mine. How can you not hear the music from thewedding above you? Do you see the other bride or guests from the other wedding/event at all? My nightmare is having a Sweet 16 above my wedding and having little annoying teenagers lurking around and hearing Miley Cyrus blasting during my first dance.

All you BVYC brides, if any of you got married on a Friday or Sat in the summer: did you hit a lot of traffic around the area? That area is very populated in the summer and I am nervous there will be a lot of traffic. Was the dock area very crowded with boats? Did you hear any noise from the Lobster restaurant next door?

I also need a hotel close by and the BVYC only has the Allegria hotel which I think is expensive and may book up fast in the summer. I don't want my guests to have to spend a lot of $ on a hotel.

Thank you all in advance for your advice and opinions... this website is a great tool especially since my FH is not much help and is annoyed at this process already ;) haha

Haven't been to a wedding at Bridgeview but it is a beautiful place... They have a new Holiday Inn that was completely overhauled and renovated in Lynbrook and another new Hampton Inn in Rockville Centre which is not that far away from Bridgeview. You really wont deal with traffic in the summer too bad over there because people don't start going out late to those places by Bridgeview and all of the bars are basically in the west end of LB so you wont have to worry at all... HTH!

I grew up in Island Park and was in the Bridgeview area alot in the summer. That area does have traffic in the summer. You also have to remember that Patty McGees and Montego Bay have alot of people and through out the night people who are drunk wander around.

I would post something on either Brides Helping Brides or on the Newlywed board and see if girls had their wedding there and what their experience was.

YAY well at least you narrowed it down!! I didnt get married at either place but I can I can give you my opinion?? ... We looked at WCC for our RH and I also went to a wedding on a friday night this past summer at BVYC --

We went to WCC and really liked it, thought everyone was nice and the place was really nice too, especially the grounds... however i had the same concern as you about the DJ's and you have to expect that to be a possibility that would be beyond your control the day of, also one thing i wasnt too crazy about at WCC was they kept talking about 'bride 1' & 'bride 2' basically saying how they were going to shift us around so that we dont see each other.. I mean it kind of turned me off because I want them to focus on me on my wedding day not whether or not I will see the other bride

BVYC- Gorgeous, seriously beautiful from start to finish. The couple had us stay at the 4 points sheraton in plainview and shuttled us all to the wedding and we missed a tiny bit of the CH because we were late. Thats also because the driver was an idiot and got lost! so it wasnt even the fact that it was completely rush hour and we still made it and had a great time -- no biggie & everything else was fab!!

BVYC you have my vote!

HTH!!!!!
