Woodbury Country Club

Does anyone have any reviews on the Woodbury Country Club I have never been there before. The price they quoted me on the phone was great I just want to make sure that it is worth going to see.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

You need to go see it. It was the first place that FH and I went to look at together and we fell in love (for the 2nd time) with it right away! We literally high fived each other on the way out of there LOL and both called our Moms as soon as we got in the car! We went to 4 more places after that but nothing could compare. Peter is our BM and he is amazing I love him!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I have a few pics of the place and they came from a fellow LIW member who also booked WCC and took some pics while there. I cant take the credit for them.
It dosent do the place justice especially the grounds. I am having a nite wedding and pleased with the grounds either day or nite.

Here is what I can show you. Any questions,FM me.

1st one-Mills room, downstairs-unfortunately not done up
2nd is Cocktail room that pairs with Mills room..mail level
3rd is Garden Room-lower level(dressed up)

Re: Woodbury Country Club

Thank you for all of your help. Is there anything you can recommend that I do when I go there. I see that your getting married there is there more than one wedding? If there is does each reception hall have its own bathroom? How is the food? How big is the bridal suite?

I am sorry for asking so many questions I just dont know what i am doing anymore. I have an appointment to book the Hamlet tomorrow but for some reason I still have a little doubt. Maybe it is just stress I am not sure.

Again thank you for everything.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I am getting married there and whenever I tell people that, they say things like 'oh I wwent to a wedding there and it was great', or 'It's so beautiful'

I love it (obviously - since I booked it) I am using the garden room.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

The BM will walk you around the entire place and give you the 2 scenarios. Yes, there may be another wedding going on but you are ALWAYS separted by an entire floor and they stagger the times as well. I have the outside cocktail hour and then bottom level for the reception. The grounds are sooooo amazing. The food is great too, we did a tasting and oh wow was it soooo good! See if you can have Peter take you around he is the best!!!! FM me if you need more info. I cannot say enough good things about it and I am SO excited to have my reception there.

PS yes every wedding has their own bathrooms for guests as well as their own bridal suite. My suite is actually 2 rooms, 1 is a room to lounge in and one is a dressing room with bathroom. You are kept apart from the other wedding. I never wanted another wedding going on , but at the WCC you dont even know they are there. Sorry I know I sound like a commercial.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

Another question that i forgot to ask. Is the place handicapped accessable. I have an uncle and a grandmother in a wheel chair. Some places made them go around back and I was not crazy about the idea.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

Yes they have an elevator that can take you to every floor in the building. The entrance to the lobby is ground level with no steps at all. So they will have no problems at all nor will they feel like outcasts like some places make handicapped people feel.

All this WCC talk to getting me SO EXCITED!!!!! I havent been there in a few months and cant wait to see it again.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

The menu is great. There are a ton of stations for the cocktail hour everything you can think of. My parents were very impressed by it all. Plus we are having the viennaise hour at the end as well. They will spend like an hour with you there and go thru it all. Tell Peter Darlene and Chris sent you from 9/24/05. He is awesome.

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I also happen to have Peter as my BM and I thought he was amazing. He made me feel so comfortable and was detailed and worked with us! Thats what I am looking for the day of wedding!
There is plenty to choose from...whatever your preference may be.
They will make accomodations to your needs.

Oh, I do have another picture..bridal suite for the upstairs room,Mills. Again, you have to see the place in person. This suite is actually larger because I have seen it myself.

Good Luck on your decision!

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I am having my wedding there too. Is it 8 or 10 guests to a table?

Re: Woodbury Country Club

I think it is 10 to a table. They said they can make exceptiosn to the head tables on the bride and grooms side in case you have more or less, but I believe it is 10 but do not quote me on that

Re: Woodbury Country Club

We looked there too and it was beautiful. I have been to a wedding there too and it was very nice. The grounds are gorgeous. I did think the bridal suites were a little small. JMO.
Good luck!
