Woodbury Country Club Brides - Question!!

Ok I have a question. FI and I are definitely the passive type (which isn't necessarily a good thing) and so we really didn't ask for any extras when we signed our contract. They threw in this or that, but nothing out of the ordinary at all - meaning every other couple was probably offered the same thing.

But now I'm wondering if I should have opened my big mouth to see what else they'd be willing to throw in for no extra cost. My question is what kinds of extras did you guys get? And how many guests are you guaranteeing?

Uh, extras...not really much. I got a tropical bar for CH and cordial bar thrown it...thats it!

My min is 150 and so far, I have met it

frozen drinks during CH, margaritas, daquiri's..yummy fruity stuff that comes from a blender

We guaranteed 175. Let me think what came with the package.. hmm... (you & your FH sound like us .. we just sign and feel like everything will fall into place! lol) Anyway, I don't know if these are considered extras but we got the honeymoon suite at the Marriott Melville, 6 different beers, 4 wines, cordial bar, Pelligrino and olive oil on tables, the cake... Thats all I can remember right now??? I'll have to look at the contract! Is there something inparticular you are looking for. We worked with Dominic and he was pretty cool...

We weren't looking for anything in particular but I feel as though we could've got more for our money. We just took what they offered and didn't ask what else they could throw in. The tropical bar sounds amazing though!! I want THAT!

Do they put wine on the tables? I don't remember them telling us if they did or not. Yikes I'm so bad!

We'll have to have a chat with them when we drop off our next deposit!

I'm pretty sure when we asked, our BM (Bob) told us they put a bottle of red and white house wine on the tables. I know my mom prefers zinfandel so I'm going to try to get that on her table, and my FI fam. loves port so we might have that on their table. Nothing is really set with all that yet though so I guess I'll wait and see what happens when we go through the whole menu process for the CH and dinner and all that. I hear ya though--you start thinking of all these things after you leave!! I can't stop thinking about that tropical bar that was mentioned now!!

Yeaaah, Dominic is great! Here's what ya do - keep a running list of things that you would like to substitute or add on and bring it with you next time you go. That's what I do and when I call and ask he says 'Yeah, Yeah... no problem! no problem'! (in that Dominic tone.) Don't worry just because you signed on the dotted line I don't think it means you lost all of your negotiating powers. Quick Question: Are any of you changing the lamp at the center of the cocktail hour tables? I'm thinking of putting a candle in the center instead? Just a random thought!

We're having the outdoor cocktail hour as well.

I'm having the outdoor CH so I don't remember what is on the tables, but I'm putting floating candles out there instead. I think the candles add a romantic touch. Go for it!!

I agree! I like the floating candle idea. Perfect.
And I LOVE the outdoor area. ENJOY! Unfortuantely, with November we have the indoor.. ah well....what can ya do! haha

We had Bob as well - We got the cordial bar thrown in and requested certain beers - coroana, guiness, etc.
The frozen drinks make me jealous now :)
We guaranteed 165 i think.
