Hey, I am so confused. I went to Woodbury Country Club and fell in love with it. However, BOB the bm was so pushy that it kind of turned me off. Their price was pretty high compared to others.
I also went to Watermill and fell in love with it however aside from being a bit far they have mixed reviews on food.
So confused? Can anyone help.

i went looking at both and actually liked watermill more. I have had family that attended 2 weddings there within the past 6 months and had rave reviews from food to decor im sure no matter which you pick you will be happy

I went to both and liked the Watermill better. It had a really elegant feel to it, but it was a bit far for my guests. I heard good reviews about the food.
On the other hand, the Woodbury CC has a beautiful outdoor bar and has a 'miami' feel to it... if you're into that.

I've been to both and personally I like Watermill better. I was at a wedding there in May and I cannot complain about the food at all. I thought it was all delicious!

I haven't had it myself, but I hear the food at the watermill is 'ehhh'. 2 friends were guests at 2 seperate weddings said same thing. I've also heard rave reviews too..

you can prob guess my vote based on my RH
i don't really know watermill but WCC has been nothing but great. We originaly had Carolyn as our banquet manager but didn't like her and switched to Steve who's awesome. Jeff is also awesome, from what i hear. Try speaking with one of them next time you go ... a pushy banquet manager is def a turn off but don't base your decision on that. FM me if you have any questions or anything

I like that the wcc has windows in the room, i tasted the food there and it was very good. Watermill was very pretty , cocktail hour was good, do not get the steak. its roast beef with hot pepper on it.

I've never been to Woodbury CC, but I have been to Watermill. The food was fantastic! I don't know why people are giving negative reviews about the Watermill; I was there a year ago for my sister's wedding and it was fabulous!

I have been to the Watermill for at least 6 functions and I never thought the food wasn't good! Actually going there tomorrow night so I'll pay extra attn for you!

woodbury is expensive.. i didn't like the entrance at all..i feel like they had no curb appeal. i also didnt like the plastic tent they use if it rains.. I was shocked at their prices? The Inn is a little more expensive, but they have one wedding at a time which is why i didnt care about paying it !
The watermill is beautiful, pretty much a guarantee . They are part of scotto brothers, and their food is supposedly fantastic. They are much more reasonable ..
I dont think they are similar at all, so it depends on what you are going for, and what you want to spend.
eta: i forgot to mention the things i love about wcc!! Its gorgeous, the outside is amazing, the food is phenomonal

I have been to weddings at both but I have to say I just went to one 2 weeks ago at WCC and it was the best wedding have ever been too! She was in the downstairs room it was beautiful, and the food was great. I like the WM the food and service were fantasic the only down side was they were in the big room downstairs and there was another party upstairs and you could hear the music over her band especially at dinner time when softer music was played. What ever you choose Im sure it will fantastic!

I didnt like the BM @ WCC either (it was a man, forgot his name) He seemed like a car salesman to me.

I have never been to a wedding at the Watermill but know a lot of people getting married there. I did hear that the food is so so. But there must be a reason so many people book with them.
ON THE OTHER HAND thw WCC has been absolutely fabulous to me, They have so many little touches that I wasn't even expecting. I brought my family for a tour and when we got back to the room they had all the food set up for us to try. We didnt even ask for a tasting, they just did it and it was great.
Whenever I have questions or changes (which is often lol) Jeff gets back to me within minutes and always seem happy to help. Not to mention they donated their venue for us which is unbelievable. The amount od food and services they provide is great. I am very happy so far!!

Hey all, thanks for getting back to me. I am now even more confused because I really like NRC too. However their price quote was pretty high. Though I think we can get him to come down. I think for now it is between Watermill and NRC. I am actually going to take a look at Seasons in NJ. I heard it is amazing. Just not sure I want to travel that far just for traffic reasons. I will keep you updated. And please if you have any input on the new places I mentioned, please tell. ;0) Thanks a bunch!
