Hi, in looking for a reception Hall to get married in next summer, the two places that I like the most are Woodbury Country Club and the Surf Club. My only concern about Woodbury is the ballroom size. I want to make sure that there will be plenty of room for everyone to dance (we are expecting about 150 people). We would be in the Garden room which is the downstairs room. I know that they say that room can accomodate much more then that but Im still nervous. Does anyone have any experience with that amount of people in that room? Any thoughts or suggestions regarding Woodbury Vs. Surf Club? Thanks for any help!

Re: Woodbury Country Club Vs, Surf Club
i just got married at WCC - we had 115 guests andit didn't feel crowded at all! We definitely could have fit an extra 40 people there. We were in the garden room downstairs too.

Thanks girls for your help - BrideC - I cant wait to hear about your wedding! Congratulations, im sure it will be beautiful. I actually went back to Woodbury today and still love it. I also saw Milleridge inn which I also really liked so now I think its between Woodbury and Millerridge Inn.
I think the dance floor should be ok for 150. But now, im concerned about the weather and being in the tent/outdoor area for cocktails. Has anyone been married there and had cocktails/ceremony outside in this hot hot weather. How bad is it really? Im hoping by 6:30 at night it should be ok but some nights this summer it has been 95 degrees. I cant imagine that would be too comfortable outside. Yikes so many decisions!
