Woodbury County Club

Woodbury County Club

I also thought i would share this story with anyone that is interested in the Woodbury Country Club....
my sister in law got married there 2 weeks ago, and I was one of her bridesmaids. I left my digital camera in the bridal suite ( which was locked all night ) and when I called them the next morning they told me that it was no longer there and that there is nothing that they can do. ( p.s. the wedding ended at 1:30, and we called at 9:00 a.m. the next day)
My FH also left his Gucci sun glasses in the suite, and they are mysteriously gone as well.
If you are deciding to book them, please do not leave anything in the suite, as they apparantly dissapear!

I see it all the time...the workers at some of these halls have sticky fingers...they'll take anything that's not bolted down. It's kind of sad, but I've seen it happen so many times - for instance, an instant camera (no idea why a worker would want that) they might have thought was a real camera LOL

its so sad b/c it was in the suite, which was locked. i feel like they should be responsible for anything that was left in the suite at least..

you should go there personally and make a stink. that's just wrong! especially since you called 1st thing in the morning after it ending at 1:30am!

Im sorry that this has happened and I would personally bring that to someones attention at WCC.
Its unfortunate but yes it also has happened to me elsewhere. They can't be responsible for everyone who works there.

I went to a bridal shower...(will not name place) and left my digital camera in a bag underneath the table w/a charger(not mine). I left, called not even a 1/2 hour into the ride and they claimed it was not THERE! Called back 3 times afterwards and not found.

Sorry again and hope that they can do something for you.

ETA:I will fair warn my BM's when it comes to that day and have them not leave anything $$$ in the suite.

that stinks! 2 of my friends got married there recently and had no problems but it is a big place with a lot going on. that's really too bad.

This happens everywhere not just catering halls. Camera's were installed at my old job (without telling 95% of the employees) for this reason and the theft rate went down after a few people were caught on camera stealing laptops, CD players and anything not nailed down then fired. And these were coworkers who were stealing not any of the outside contractors.

And just to be fair, it's not always the employees but sometimes the guests at these events.

Just can't leave your things unguarded anymore - it's very sad and unfortunately true. Sorry to hear that you had to go through that. Good Luck, and I suggest filing a claim w/the police - it may not be a lot of money, but it's value is worth more.

Ugh, that's so terrible.

I worked at a catering hall where I had my pocketbook stolen! Everything and all it's contents. I can't believe people nowadays.

When I had my sisters shower, I put my digital camera down on the table with the gifts for two minutes and it was gone!!!!! I asked everyone who worked there, and even checked with family to see if someone picked it up before they left.... Needless to say, after looking for half an hour, it mysteriously reappeared on the table!!!!! ... I will never leave anything out of my site!!!
