Woodlands Taste Testing

I am thinking of booking the Woodlands - any positive/negative reviews?

How does the taste testing work if you want to have it before you book? Is it private or a group thing?

Thanks!!

Re: Woodlands Taste Testing

I'm booked at The Woodlands and did not do a tasting before I booked. I've only heard positive things about the food but I was told that they only do group tastings. They did tell my FH and I however, that we were welcome to do a tasting as early or as late as we'd like, but because they give you such a huge amount of food and because it's a group thing, you only get one of them.

Hope this helps!

When we booked The Woodlands, they brought us some appetizers from a wedding that was happening during the day while we were there. They were so good and I've only heard good things about the food, so it was enough for me. I know that they sometimes have events for those who are considering the venue. Many people are invited and they set it up as a mock CH. You may want to ask them about this.

We are booked at the Woodlands and did not do a tasting before we booked (I had read reviews that the food was great).

When we set up our tasting appt, our banquet manager Eileen (no longer there) told us that the tasting was a nice romantic thing and she recommended we go by ourselves (I think you can take up to 4 or 6 people). So we went by ourselves and we were the only couple there - everyone else had at least 4 people!

I recommend bringing at least 4 people - you get more dishes to try when you have more people at the table. I wish we hadn't listened and brought our BM/MOH.

But the food was great, and there was a LOT of it. It felt like we went to a wedding!

Re: Woodlands Taste Testing

we just had our wedding at the Woodlands this past april. the food is AMAZING. Everyone is still raving about the food and people have even said its the best food they ever had at a wedding! We didn't do a taste test before we booked....but they used to have the restaurant upstairs. We did dinner there one night with our parents before we signed the contract. Everything was delicious. We had our actual tasting about 5 weeks before the wedding....omg amazing! We brought the ILs and they couldn't get over how good it was.

you will not be disappointed!!
