That's great! And I don't want to know - we just bought in March in East Meadow and I don't even want to say what we spent But it's our home, so I won't complain. And technically we can afford it!
My MIL bought land in Florida a few years ago for about $40,000 (in Melbourne something or other) - well she just found out from a friend that because land is running out there, a plot the same size now is going for $125,000!!!!!!! So I guess real estate is going up everywhere - but it's still sooooooooooo much better everywhere than here!!!!!

holy macaroni 125K for land...
we paid 2900 for our 1/4 acre in Feb 2002 and its now going for 6900. Real estate is a definate good investment. We are hoping to pick up another lot this fall, just to have as an investment.

Great idea! Like you said, always a good investment! That's why we bought...cause even though prices are ridiculous, they aren't going to drop. Level out, yes, but drop, nah, I don't think so...

We have a great person we bougth our land from and he always has lots so we're going to be dealing with him again and hoping he can cut us a little deal. 10 years from now we know we'll make back everything plus. Especially in our area, its building up so quickly

I took lots and lots of pics of it
I also took lots of pics of other model houses as well just so I can post them up on the boards. The agents looked at me like I had 2 heads when I said 'Oh I have to take a pic of this so I can post it to my girls on the boards' Brian just shook his head and said 'dont ask'
