Wording for donations

We are making a donation to the MS Society instead of favors. We are making the cards or possibly a scroll ourselves.
Can anyone recommend the wording?

we have chosen a special way
to say “Thank You” for sharing
our wedding day with us.

In lieu of a traditional wedding favor,
we have made a donation in your honor
to the American Diabetes Association,
to help fight this disease and one day find a cure.

We feel the finest gift is one which helps
others live longer and healthier lives.

part of our special day.
