since im stuck on the train due to a broken rail this popped into my head. fh and i really want a cocktail party for our rd but someone thinks it should be a sit down or buffet because people will expect that or go home hungry. what will be the best way to word the invite to let our guests know this is the type of dinner we will be serving. tia

I had a cocktail e-party.... we just put.
Please join us for a cocktail party to celebrate the engagement of.....
then at the bottom we said the timeI think it was like 8-11 or something we had it in an American Legion hall and only wanted 3 hours since we weren't serving a full meal. There was tons of food and no one went hungry we had massive left overs
