Is it important to Dad that his name be on it? Have you asked him what he thinks?

It is important to my Dad that his name is on it...
I looked at the verseit.com and it had the first wording...not sure what to do
Than I have to worry about the programs...

Are you and your step mother close? Would you ever do Mr. and Mrs. Blank would like to invite you to the wedding of THEIR daughter....or are you totally against that? I don't think that the HIS daughter one sounded bad.

Why can't you just say 'Mork and Mindy Smith request the honor your presence at the marriage uniting Regina to Joh Doe, son of Fred and Ginger Doe...'
that way you avoid whose daughter you are because it's implied but you don't offend anyone.

Re: Wording help for invites
I would never put 'their' daughter....the entire Phrase 'The mother of the bride' will be stricken from my wedding. If I hear it I know I will burst into tears.
Maybe 'Joe and Jill Smith' would work....
What does everyone else thing? This is a tough area for me, because I am very sensitive about it...

How about :
Mr & Mrs __________ request the honor of your presence to witness the nuptials of regina2 to FH.
And what about the names of your FILs? Are you including those?

I like emdonlon's suggestion. Avoiding saying whose daughter you are is a good idea.

I understand why your uncles may be upset...it is a sensitive issue. But if your dad is remarried then technically she is Mrs.____. Is it a possibility/have you considered just putting your father's name? Is that an acceptable way to write it?
