Wording needed for Menu

Wording needed for Menu

My cousin is getting married and they are having a tapas menu - any ideas for wording so that people know there is a cocktail hour PLUS more tapas as the dinner?

We thought of - dinner in three stages or something like that - we're looking for wording on the invitation or any other ideas?

why not just write 'Tapa Entrees' as the title, and 'you may choose three of the following' below that

IMO, you don't need to put anything on the invite. dont most people expect to have a cocktail hour plus additional food at the reception?

you misread it - she's asking for menu wording, not invite wording

oh maybe i am confused...but i read this part of the post and thought they wanted to word it on the invite:
'we're looking for wording on the invitation or any other ideas?'

hmmm ok now i'm confused too (skimmed earlier so i didn't catch that) ... the title says 'for menu' though ...

OP: if you meant invitation, don't do that - it makes no sense

Sorr y for the confusion! I was thinking invitation, but sounds like there shouldn't be any wording put on there.

The thing is that my aunt is worried that at the reception people will keep waiting for a sit down dinner and that is not what it will be - it will be tapas.

They are having menu boards placed around, near the bar, and describing some of the food - so maybe just title there Tapas Entrees....

thanks for clearing that up!

Def leave it off the invites

Maybe title the boards that will be around the bar
Dinner:
Passed Tapas
then list the descriptions

I would try to work in the word 'passed' if there will not be a sit down, otherwise people will still expect to sit down and get served an actual meal

actually i should edit that: my post is based on assuming you arent having a sit down meal
if you are having a sit down meal (the meal being tapas) then you can call it anything you want

Re: Wording needed for Menu

i agree

though another option would be to just write on the invites something like 'cocktail reception to follow'
