how are you writing out 2003 on your invites?

1. two thousand three

OR

2. two thousand and three

does it make a difference? or is there a correct way?

we just did ours this week. Both are correct. We did Two thousand and Three. Just to be more formal!

actually, the proper way is two thousand three. you never say and unless you get to a decimal point. however, no one will really pay attention one way or the other so you are fine.

You're absolutely right Sandy. I had the same question when I was wording my e-party invites and I found out that the proper way is without the and.

The woman who helped me with my invite said the company would put 'two thousand and three' regardless of what I wanted but I insisted that I wanted 'two thousand three' because it is the correct grammar. I triple checked the invitation proof and they printed it the way I wanted it. Use whichever you like better but be sure to check the proof.

We used two thousand and three. This was also how it was printed in the sample books. I like the way it looks better than two thousand three. JMO
