WORDING...please help

i want to write something cute for my mother who i want to be my maitron of honor...as a way to ask her....i have a little thing written but i am not good at this stuff...can someone please help me

You were there when I was a baby.
Helped protect me as I grew.
You were there when I was a young child.
You taught me how to tie my shoes.
You were there for me as a teen.
Gave me advice on my first date.
You watched me graduate High School
And now you'll watch me marry my soulmate.
You've been there for everything big and small
and now I need you once more,
To be by my side as I exchange vows
With the man that I adore!!
