I work for a small department & will be inviting the whole group that works my shift.We are very close and go out after work and have BBQ's etc. There is one woman who is on my shift ,but has been out on maternity leave since I started. I don't know her that well but I did go to her work shower ,and she trained me 1 or 2 days back when I first started my job a couple years ago. Im sending out invites by the end of this month, and she is due back to work next week, do I invite her? I don't think she would probably come , and on the one hand I don't want to be rude and invite everyone but her, but on the other hand she might think its weird if I do invite her. What should I do?

if you're inviting the rest o fthe dept, then i think you have to invite her, esp since she's coming back next week
and like you said, she's probably not gonna come

I agree.....I wouldn't leave just one person out if you are inviting the whole dept.

IMHO, Invite her if you WANT her at your wedding! If you dont know her well and are doing it as a courtesy, it may not be the right decision! Just my opinion! Good Luck!!!!!
