This week has been the worst week at work. I work in a school and everyone is talking about everyone saying what they are doing wrong. How they are acting unprofessional. The teachers are doing this not even administration. They need to seriously worry about themselves instead of the other grades. I know you get this everywhere but it is so ridiculous. The teacher aides are talking about how teachers are being unprofessional. No offense to teacher aides, I am one myself, but who are you to talk to other teachers about how a teacher does her job and then blab it all over the school. They make up shiit when there is nothing else to talk about. I can't stand it. Keep your mouths shut and your comments and opinions to yourself. I am the youngest one at the school and I am more mature than all these people. It is so pathetic how these women act. Sorry just needed to vent.

Wow, sounds like my school. Unfortunetly I think it happens everywhere. I have like 5 really close friends that I work with and it has gotten to the point where we barely talk to anyone else, and it is actually easier that way. Just try to keep your nose clean and only talk to the people that you trust 100%

I know. I don't talk to anyone except a couple people who I am friends with and can trust. I don't trust anyone in that school besides them. I know it is everywhere also...lol My mom keeps telling me its like this with any job you have but it just really got to me when a teacher aide blabs about other teacher all over the school. And again not to put down teacher aides but who do you think you are. She has no idea what some teachers go through.

I have two paras in my class room one period and they try to make comments about another teacher on my team and I just come right out and say that I don't like discussing other teachers when they are not around and I hope that other teachers do the same. Unfortunetly some of them eat that up and gossip till the cows come home. They will get theres, the sh*t will hit the fan when someone finds out that they are yapping, so best to stay away from it

That is very good of you. Some teachers will feed into it but I just pay my dues and hope this will get me teaching job so I just smile and say hi to everyone...lol

Yeah you're going to find that in any school, especially on Long Island. For some reason the majority of adults that work in a school setting seem to regress to adolescence - Teachers, TA's, Administrators, all of them. When I worked in a school I felt like such an outcast, well there were like 5 or 6 of us, because we we're petty and didn't gossip.
