I was just told yesterday that they are closing 2 classrooms in my building. I am now being pushed down from going in everyday to be a teacher sub to an on call sub. I didn't get vacation or sick days but I knew I at least be in the building every school day. Now I have to sit at home every morning starting Sept and just wait for a phone call. I am so frustrated and stressed now.

That's tough. My Fiance is a teacher in NYC, but he still isn't permanent either. It's been a couple of years and he hasn't had health insurance, sick or vacation days.
But being on-call is also stressful, because there's lack of a routine.
I hope your situation gets better, but remember - nothing ever stays the same forever. Things WILL change and it will be for the better, it's just a matter of when.
I wish you luck!

I feel so bad for teachers right now because you guys are really taking the brunt of all of the financial issues. I hope it gets better soon!!!
