subway are always running.

Am I the only one at work?

I so wanted to work from home but the files I needed to work on were damaged :(

ive got to go into work also. Last time we had that huge snow storm, I called out and was told if I do it again, I'm fired!!!!! It's absurd because I work as a nanny, and the mother WORKS FROM HOME!!!!!!!

I prepare myself to work from home and FH was all excited, until at 5am I open up these word and excels files and they were locked because I am not on my company server- I was like You have to be kidding me

So annoyed and I will own stay a half day

That s ucks that you have to work. I work in the city and my office is still open but I called out. For the last snow storm I went in but this time I was worried that the LIRR service would be suspended and that I would get stuck in the city. The roads were also really bad by me and I would've had a really tough time getting to the train station.

yea At my house they didn't even shovel so there are three little steps when you come out of the building and it was covered and leveled with the snow- I fell yesterday, so I am sore but WE- they better appreciate this S h I t

I'm on my way into the city now too. But I'm so mad at myself - I could have worked from home also exceptI left my laptop at work last night!!!! I guess I didn't believe we were going to get much snow because when I left work (at 9:30) last night the city still had NOTHING!

Ugh my stupidity!

I wish I even had the chance to work from home! I told them I would come in for a half day at 1 because it normally takes an hour for me to drive to work in good weather.. I figured that by 12 there might be less people on the road, or if it was THAT bad everyone would be sent home by then... Wishful thinking!!

ughh yea it does - but the crappy thing is that i live in LI where they didnt plow the streets and was about to just work from home when i realized that i left my powercord at the client! so now i'm here... alone.. and there's nobody in the accounting department to help me

I'm here...i work in finance and we're starting the close for February so my entire department is pretty much here-now other depts in another story. I think it is only the 6 of us working today!

Luckily i plan on leaving around 2pm once i get everything done!

I LIV EIN ASTORIA AND WE GOT OVER 12 INCHES OF SNOW! NO ONE BOTHERS TO CLEAN THE SIDEWALK AND I LOST HALF OF MY CALVES IN THE SNOW. I GAVE UP AND WALKED ON THE ROAD!

We never get snow days in LA! :) (And I can see snow tip mountains from my office)

Although, I remember that I never got a snow day when I used to work in the City either. It was such a pain in the butt commuting into the city, my feet always being cold and the bottoms of my pants being wet and dirty from all the slush.

Hang in there ladies, hopefully some of you will get to go home early!
