Working it out with work friends...

I have two jobs. I TA during the day, and I waitress a few nights a week. All the people that I work closley in the school are definatly invited to the reception. My job at the restaurant is a little tougher because I am friends with alot of people there and I have a few close friends there as well. Am I being rude just inviting a select few. The entire place knows that I am getting married in 2 months and I don't want to offend anyone. What is everyone else doing.

You have to do what is best for you. There are a whole bunch of people that I would love to invite but I can't, and we are having a wedding with 200+ people. So don't worry, invite who you can.

One girl I work with is a BM (because I needed to even out my BP and I'm close to her) but I cannot invite anyone besides for my bosses because it would be another 60 people!

Most people should be sympathetic with the costs and stuff with weddings & they should understand that you can't possibly invite everyone. So- be sincere and tell them that you just can't swing it. If they get mad at you- then they have problems!
BUT
Tell them that you still want them a part of your day, and possibly invite them to just the wedding ceremony, if it's at a church... That is what I am doing.

I am inviting my department, which is about 10-12 people (including spouses). Everybody knows about the wedding, but that is really all I can afford to invite at this point. I think people will understand.

Thanks so much for the advice. I decided that I am going to invite who I want to be there-the people that I am close with. Thats a good idea to tell everyone to come to the ceremony.
