I am getting married in a month and we still havent found a place to live. Has it been hard for you ladies to find a place to live? We check out apartment and either they are too expensive or a piece of junk and they ask for lots of money.

Re: worried
im on Long Island and we looked at 15 complexes total over a weekend! 1 weekend we spent and we went everywhere!
We set up a criteria of what we needed. For instance - since FH is so big - a galley kitchen was out of the question. We know we need atleast 750 sq ft and could afford up to 1300 mo. we used that and it was no trouble choosing.
GO everywhere u possibly can - even if u think u might not be able to afford it or its not somewhere u would think of living. I didnt have any plans to live in patchogue - and im in the village on the water - i wanted to stay closer to the midland where i grew up.
and keep an open mind - but def keep lookng - we blocked off one weekend and made a MESS of appointments and went to everyone - went over the paperwork and within a week knew we wanted this particular one - and then i went for the app and took it from there.
If there is one u like just make sure to keep in constant contact with them - we did and then they told us a better apt opened up (the one were in now) and i saw it right away and made an apt for the application and just kept in touch.
but look look look and dont rule anyhitn out before u see it unless it is 100 out of ur range.

Re: worried
we're kinda in the same boat as you...we don't have a place to live in either but our wedding is still about 7 months away
Fh is from the Bronx, and i know what you mean by things being too expensive and/or crappy.
All I can say is keep trying..that's what we're doing
