When I put a deposit on my dress. I also put a deposit on the veil that I absolutely loved and I thought looked great w/ my dress. Problem is last night I was reading an article in Brides Magazine that said,'If you have a cathedral length veil it should be quite a bit longer than the train on your gown orthe dress train should beshorter than the veil lenth'.. I am like thinking OMG my dress has a train and my veil is cathedral length and the veil is only a a tad bit longer it just passes the train by like 1 inch . I'm am worried does the veil I love look ridiculous w/ my gown. I mean the sales women said she thought it looked great, but was she just saying that to make a sale or maybe she didn't know any better. I would post the pic I took in the bridal shop but I do not have a scanner. Also I can NOT CHANGE MY MIND or decide I want another veil without loosing money, it is store policy. Any suggestions?

Are you removing the cathedral veil after the ceremony? Are you also wearing a fingetip veil? Maybe you can have the cathedral veil set farther back on your head under the fingertip veil? I have the same problem with my veil...it;s BARELY longer than my train.....and it's supposed to be cathedral...

Hi... I just want to say that I have a cathedral train and veil and I believe it looks beautiful together. I think it compliments the detail of the train wonderfully and in my opinion a veil longer than the train looks odd. Remember your the only one who needs to be happy with it
