FH and I want to go to Sandals St. Lucia but we're worried we'll get hit!
Where are you girls going?

Re: Worried about Hurricanes on HM
Haven't decided yet, but I know Aruba is outside the hurricane belt. My friend went there on her honeymoon last year and her date was 9/23.

hey date twin. we are going to jamaica and bought travel insurance. the hotel we are staying at has a 'no hurricane garauntee' so that if they get hit, you get refunded for your trip.
let me know if you want the # to my TA, he was awesome and is free

Make sure you get insurance. Hotels in the Caribbean usually have good Hurricane policies -- it is also the cheapest time of year to go there!

Aruba is a safe bet. We are going to Greece. If you are the type of person who will stress over if a hurricain is coming or not then I would plan your HM accordingly. I know I am that type of person and would go nuts watching weather...lol

Sandals has a hurricane guarantee.. I read it in the book.. If a hurricane hits while you're there, you get another trip just like it at the same location... I gotta find the book now..

Re: Worried about Hurricanes on HM
FH and I went to Jamaica last November and we were fine. I was concerned about hurricanes throughout the summer because of how active the 2005 hurricane seasone had been.
