Worried about making minimum

For the halls we've narrowed it down to the minimum seems to be 100 or 110.

Our invite list is only 125 people long.
I worry about not making the minimum and not having enough guests... but at the same time I don't want too many over the minimum.

Problem is a lot of the guests on FH's side live out of state. I can think of 5 or more right of the bat that may say no cause of the travel it would involve.

Can't touch people at work cause I feel bad inviting some & not all.

Anyone else worry?

I worry a tiny bit about it, but in the end whatever happens, happens....
Worst case scenario you can invite people last minute from work, tell them straight up i didnt have the room before but now I do, I would love if you can come and please dont bring a gift...

i worry some times because our minimum is 150 and we are inviting more then that. but i still get worried.

If your minimum is 100 you should be okay. If worse comes to worse and you have a few less people you will just have to pay up until the min. and you can always invite some last minute.

My min is 150 and I will prob wind up inviting about 190-200 so I am not worried at all.

i'm at this moment wishing i didnt commit to 200...because I am about to cut most of FH's family. Most of them havent even responded to the engagement party...so they have me a bit flustered : )

Our minimum is 100 and we are inviting 125. I'm not really worried. I'm going to send out the invites a tad early just in case. Will definitely have a b-list as back up just in case. I'm pretty sure everyone will RSVP yes though.

Our minimum is 150, we are inviting about 200, so i'm not too worried about meeting it. All of our guest are from around here, the only OOT people are my family and I know they will definitely be there. I have some people that are not on the the list that if i needed to could be added to meet the minimum

Usually if you don't make your minimum you can include your vendors in the numbers, that might help.

my minimum has to be 185 but i am inviting over 200 guests i think i'll make my minimum

We shouldn't have a problem making our minimum. It's only close family and friends so everyone best be coming! Your vendors are also included in the number, so that helps.

They say usually 20% will decline so i told FH to let his parents invite whoever they want (unlike his bro who is getting married soon and cutting their invite list) because we have to invite at least 160 to meet our minimum and be safe.

Our minimum is 100, but our guest list is currently 125-128, and I have already been hinted at that all of my family from FL wont be able to make it. The lists will change and possibly grow by the time we have to send out invites, but I have seen on here where people dont make their minimum, and either

1. the hall throws some things in to make up the difference, say you have 5 people not coming at 100pp, they throw in something worth that 500.

2. last minute invites go out to people that you didnt think you would have room for

3. 'LI weddings girls, anyone want to come to my wedding?' I have seen this posted before to try and fill numbers.

I am concened about it as well, but I figure with the way FMIL adds people it wont be as big an issue (well, I wasnt going to add them to the list but I just got an invite to their daughters wedding, so I think I should)

Don't stress over it too much. Send out STD's. That will help guarantee attendance from a lot of your guests. I know a lot of people don't send them when they are worried that they are going to be well over their min. Also, by the time it comes around to your wedding, you never know what additional friends you will have that you may want to invite. As someone else mentioned, most RH's will count vendors toward your minimum.

our minimum is 150 and we have about 140 people on our guest list as of right now. I feel comfortable with having the room to invite more people as the times goes by because I don't want to have to feel obligated to invite anyone or have to pick and choose between people. I like knowing that we have about 20-30 more people to invite without feeling pressured.

Not bad idea! I'll have to keep that in mind cause I have a feeling FH's family is going to give problem about coming either because of travel or because of 'family situations'.

we are invinting 165 min is 125 i dont want anymore then 150 at my wedding
