I got a good amount of things off the registry for my shower but there is still so much on there!! Do people give gifts off the registry for the wedding too?

I think most people will give money but maybe there will be a few to give gifts off the registry like maybe the people that cant make it to the wedding or something.

What I've seen from other cases is that sometimes people who can't attend send a gift off the registry.
It's not very common in the NY Metro area to recieve wedding gifts at the wedding..mostly people give $$...but outside of the NY area people will always give gifts.

everyone who attended our wedding gave cash BUT after the wedding we did receive some gifts off our registry from guests who were not able to attend our wedding, so yes you might get gifts from those who RSVP no. We also had 1 person who attended our wedding, gave cash but was shocked when a few days later we also received a gift off our registry from them.

Thats what my mother said too!! FH's family is from OOT and a lot of them won't be coming to the wedding, so I guess we'll see. I kinda think a lot of them wont send a gift though..

I find that for most NY weddings people give money but you may get a few gifts from work and random people.

Most people give cash gifts , but there will be a few that won't. I removed everything from my registry except my china for that very reason since thats the only thing left that I really need anyway

We had stuff left on our registry and it's almost all gone! most of the NYers who couldnt come sent checks, but we're recevied a bunch of registry gifts from OOTers who are and are not coming. We also got 3 Macys gift certificates from OOTers.
