Worried about the Weather

Re: Worried about the Weather

My best friend got married last Feb. Feb. is a hard month in that it can be beautiful or it can be cold or snowing. My friend had perfect weather. It was a little cool but she had beautiful blue skies. The winter months are hard because you never really know what might happen.

Thats what we are worried about. The prices are so much more reasonable during those months but just scared about the weather.

You have to take a chance if you want to get married during those months.

I am getting married in the winter-New Years Eve.

I am sure it will be cold out. And there is a possbility of snow. On the other hand, it can rain in the summer or spring. So everyone takes a chance. UNless your'e getting married outdoors-it shouldnt ruin your day.

I got married the first week of November. Although it was very cold.....it was sunny & beautiful.

My only concern with the winter months would be taking photos in the daylight & outdoors.

I am worried about the snow and a blizzard like we had this winter.

I got married in February and was worried about the same thing you are. You should ask your hall what their policy is on weather (snow etc.) That may help calm your fears.

try the farmer's almanac...it actually predicted the president's day blizzard this year. It may not be totally acurate but if you take a look at it may help you narrow down dates...you know stay way from any that have big strom predictions.

President's day was my anniversary -- we were home bound! I was thanked god that the year before was a perfect day

the blizzard was on your 1st wedding anniversary?....you were both stuck at home? How sweet and romantic!

No matter when the wedding is, the weather is always a gamble, especially in the winter. If you decide to go with a winter wedding, talk to your vendors about cancellation policies due to snow. I think there's special inclimate weather insurance you can purchase too.

im getting married in february....i would never get married in the summer because i am always hot. i figured that you could have bad weather at any time of year. my friend got married in july last year...the hottest day of the year. it was terrible. about snow, my hall wrote in a clause to reschedule if anything should happen. im willing to take the chance so i can be comfortable (and save some big bucks!) at my wedding.

Im getting married in feb. I am concerned but taking my chances. We haven't decided on the hall yet but I plan to ask about cancellation policy.

It was not my first choice but there were 'things' that happened with my soon to be new family (nothing terrible, just inconsiderate people) but I am falling in love with the idea of getting married on Valentine's day. No matter what weather it will be wonderful!

I'd say the weather can be a problem any month. We picked the end of July and have a better chance than not of rain (I hope that doesn't happen!). I'd say take a chance. If you're really worried, just buy wedding insurance!:)

I am getting hitched in January! I figure, you can't control the weather no matter what time of year it is!

We left 3 hours between the ceremony & reception, so in case there is
$^^@w, (it is a curse in my house these days!) people will no thave to rush in inclimate weather. We also rented Truck limos & put all the BP & both families in one limo so no one can get spearated.

You can get a lot of good deals on the halls & vendors during the winter - you just have to plan a little differently.
