Worried - what would you do?

Worried - what would you do?

I made all the appointments for me and my 7 bridesmaids and my mom at ID Salon in Woodbury last December.

Well my MOH tells me this weekend she is getting her makeup done at 1pm by Gabrielle - that was my appointment.

So I call the salon and they screwed up the makeup appts, originally there was supposed to be 2 makeup artists, now only 1 - and they didn't have an appt for MOH. They also told FSIL that she could get hers done at 1:30, but they have my other bridesmaid for that time.

So I made FSIL and MOH appointments at another salon down the street, no problem.

Question is, now I am worried they are going to screw up the day of. There are 9 of us, all getting hair, some getting nails, and some getting makeup and we all have to be done by 2pm. Should I look for another salon? There is no time for a trial or anything - wedding is in 5 days!

What would you girls do?

Personally - I would write everyone down - in order, how you want things done.

Bride - 1pm hair, 2 pm nails, 3:00pm makeup

MOH - 12:30pm hair, 1:30p nails, 2:30p makeup

and so on and so on. KWIM?

And give it to the salon - YOU make the timeline for them to follow. Triple check it and tell your MOH to stay on top of it. For poops and laughs - do it for the other salon too....

That would freak me out a little too. Honestly, I would go down there and sit down with someone and discuss how the day is going to go. Let them know your concerns and tell that you need to be assured that everyone will get done at the correct time. Also, it may be a little easier on the time schedule if you got your nails done the day before.

Yeah, I reviewed it with them on Sunday.

I don't understand why they would make appointments with MOH and FSIL when they were already booked and not even call them to cancel?

Just not organized and professional in my opinion. Hope it works out on Sat. I guess I will call again this week and triple confirm.

Yeah I am getting my nails done the day before - just my sister is getting a mani/pedi that day and my mom.

Ugh - see girls, there is always stress right before!!!

I say you keep on calling and harassing them up until the day of. Be polite about it but hey its your wedding day and you have every right to be concerned and want to triple -quadruple - whatever - confirm.

I agree - can't your sister and mom go somewhere else to get this done the day before? It would at least take away some stress.

And have you been to this salon before? Do you know anyone that has? Do they have a good reputation? Maybe post this ? on BHB or on the 07 board and see what people say about it???

Good luck sweetie!

I would go to the salon personally with your list to compare it with their books. Find out who will be at the salon that day so you know how many just to keep your mind at ease. You definitely want to make sure everything is straightened up now.
