but this girl is still thinking im going to pay for her dress
she said yesterday if you cant afford to hae me i understand
all i have to pay for is a gift and flowers..

She needs that BRIDESMAID book that everyone is giving their bridesmaids.
She also needs a book on etiquet to 'curb her lip' so that she doesnt frustrate the bride. you have enough to deal with already.
You know what let everyone else buy their dresses and you should go to a Salvation Army and buy her a dress there and tell her that you are greatlful for her being in your party but this is all you can afford...
die it the color and then see what she does.
Although it can back fire and she can love it or take it and wear it.

The BM's are responsible for their expences you (as far as I know) just have to pay for flowers, transportation, gifts for them , and if you want a luncheon to thank them

i'm just curious, does she not realize she is supposed to pay? or does she just not want to?
if she doesn't realize it, then maybe there are ways of getting her to realize it without you feeling awkward. has she spoken with the other bridesmaids? maybe you can get everyone together and have them bring up the cost that THEY will be spending on THEIR bm dresses in front of her.
if she already knows the deal and just doesn't want to pay...well then maybe you should re-think having her in the wedding party.

i take it this is the first wedding she has ever been in cause she should know as well as every other BM knows that when they except its pretty much a give in that they pay for their own. god if shes bitching about this now. just wait till the shower and the bachelorette party i can just imagine. i hope it works out for ya
