FH and I have our final dance lesson tonight ... we didn't practice AT ALL (though we tried last night, but we totally forgot how the 2nd half of the dance goes so we gave up).

Your not going to have the worst 1st dance- I will! I have been with FH for 4 years and we have never danced together. AND he keps putting off practicing with me.

you'll be fine.. I PROMISE! one thing I always tell my students around show time- your body will take over, before your brain kicks in. if your FH (who should be leading) freaks out- take the lead... trust yourselves to just enjoy the moment.. don't worry about dipping and twirling, worry about looking into each others eyes and sharing that moment.

we did too! and half way through i realized we were just like turning in a circle in one spot so i said 'we should probably move around a little'

just come up with names for the dance moves. and then memorize the order
for example, an under arm turn where he stays in place, and you walk underneath in a circle is a 'revolving door'
we did a few dance lessons and learned some of these 'code names'...others we made up on our own
but it was totally helpful, and when we were dancing, i would just tell DH 'around the world, revolving door, 360' and he knew exactly what to do
of course, i had to memorize the order tho...but its okay, cuz i also choreographed it, so it wasnt hard to do.

We said the same thing! But my dress wasn't bustled so it was only a half circle. What a mess!
