what's the worst holiday gift you ever received?
for me I would have to say a cheap lotion set that was CLEARLY re-gifted because there was scotch tape on the packaging and it was dusty too
I think the dust bothered me more than anything else. I have re-gifted stuff in the past as well but nothing that was dirty!

Hmmm.I've probably gotten a lot but one that really sticks out is a horribly scary black sequined purse that FH gave me last year. It was the ugliet thing I've ever seen and I almost starting laughing when I opened it.

It was a green velvet purse with rhinestones on it... and the rhinestones were stuck on there with what looked like gold glitter glue.

there was this cat sculpture my cousin gave us..it was hideous and DH made my hide it and eventually threw it away.

I actually received an oil candle.. not a nice one, like the old fashioned one.. What do you do w/ that??

Not exactly a 'holiday' gift, but an ex (in college) gave me a bottle of Captian Morgan's for Valentine's Day. (yes, that was the main gift!!). I was disgusted as I absolutely HATE spiced rum.
I think this story is hysterical now.

My aunt gave me one of those holiday decorations that you stick into the ground outside your house. I live in a high rise apartment building (and have for 7 years now) so it obviously was the leftover gift she had nobody else to give it to...

you could be like the neighbors below us and light your apartment on fire and then throw it out the window and burn the sididng of the building up 2 stories

My Aunt gave me a night gown, i mean to the floor gown, that was flannel and had a lace coller... it looked like it was right out of little house and the prairie

I had to add to this again, my aunt sent me a basket of english muffins this year for Christmas.
I guess I should learn not to expect too much since it's the same aunt who gave me the decoration that goes outside your home...

oh one of our wedding presents was so bad - it was this 'sculptural' menorah. it was of two stick figures and the fingers were super long - almost the size of the person and you were supposed to put the candles in the fingers. So it looked like the two people were on fire. So creepy.

DH bought me a coffee mug warmer for my desk at work....I love him, but what was he thinking?!??!?!
Then he came to work one day and saw it under my desk a year later...unopened!!!!
