Worst thing I could have imagined :-( Invite/USPS/ vent

Sooo I was wondering why we hadn't gotten many RSVPs yet or hadn't heard from alot of our guests about receiving our invites....welll today I found out why....we had 35 returned to us. Turns out I made a mistake with my postage....I had 61 cent stamps (leftover from my cousins wedding last year) and identical 64 cent stamps...and alot of out invites went out with the 61 cent stamps accidently I didn't even notice when we did the stuffing. The weird thing is some of our guests have gotten them delivered with the wrong postage, and some got returned. Some of the ones I got back were cancelled, some weren't. This totally sucks now, because we have to figure out if there are more then 35 that didn't get delivered yet and if more might be coming back to us, or if they are lost forever in the world of USPS. I am sooo upset and stressing over this! Luckily we sent them out early enough that there's a little fudge factor, and I have about 30 extra invites if worse comes to worse, but it just sucks all around to deal with this

One way FH and I are trying to look on the bright side- there were some guests FH's parents wanted to invite, that we didn't want there, so HOPEFULLY they will be in the group that doesn't their invites. With them however, I will not be following up LOL!!

this happened to me...i just got an invite back yesterday and i mailed it out over 2 weeks ago and 1 of our guest rsvped last week and i still havent received the response...some of my family in fl havent received them either and i went to the post office and they said they couldnt help me...seriously maybe they shouldnt fire anymore workers so the job can get done right and they also need to stop being so damn lazy...

i compeletely understand how you feel ive been upset and cried as well over this..thank god i have extra invites
