Clearly you don't have to name the hall or anything but what was the worst wedding you've been to? I went to a wedding where the entree was so small we thought it was an appetizer and one of FH's friends wives asked the server if the entree was coming soon and he told her that we just ate it, LOL. We ordered room service that night after we got back because we were starving.

I went to an outdoor wedding in Maryland where a tropical storm was coming through, luckily we all made the best of it!!

i was in a wedding that the night before i was told i would have a place to stay so not to book a hotel room
yeah i slept in a room with over 20 other people including children.
my bed was three couch cushions on the floor from the pull out couch and my blanket was two jackets.

hmm i have several LOL
one was at a place that is supposed to be amazing the CH was HORRIBLE - they literally had 3 items and things that i dont eat; nor do most people unless u r the queen of england (dont get me wrong, i know what they are; i dont like them)
one was cash bar and i had to wait 20 minutes for a beer - then they made me take a glass - the nerve of them!!!
i thought there was another but now i forgot
oh. one where the CH was outside and there were SOOOO many bugs it was awful everytime i put my drink down, there was another bug in it and i had to get another drink - the rest was ok; but that part was bad

never been to a bad wedding but i been to a function at bad catering hall... the walls weren's sound proof so u could hear (and feel) the sweet sixteen going on next door.. they broccoli spears for dinner looked like they were on steroids tehy were so huge. the salmon ws huge and dry adn the cake when they served it tasted like costco cake (which i LOVE) but i only got to eat half cause the other half was hanging off the side of the plate when tehy literally flopped it down in front of me..

My cousin's wedding. They RAN OUT OF FOOD and offered us hamburgers. We ended up getting so drunk because they didn't have enough food. Needless to say, my aunt and uncle were mortified. Apparently, their daughter in law cancelled a bunch of hor doerves and entree choices last minute.

LoL I went to a wedding of a distant relative once that was out of state and for cocktail hour they had a little table with cheese and crackers lmao. The food was horrific. We ended up eating afterwards. AND YES it was at a catering hall lol.

My aunt and uncle are still embarassed about it to date. It was out of their hands and totally not their fault. Literally, we all ended up getting so drunk and one of my cousins got sick in a huge urn holding a plant in the hotel. It was a mess. Nobody was dancing because I think everyone was hungry. The only two fools out on the dance floor was myself and my friend.

My mom said she & her coworkers were recently talking about a really bad one... She said literally NOT ONE PERSON ate the food - it was so bad. Her boss said she had never been at a wedding before where noone touched the food...it was terrible..

I cant remember ever being to a bad wedding....
I do remember a few where I have made comments on like old venues, carpets smells like cigarettes, low ceilings, bad favor...
But overall Ive always had a good time..unless the music *****..but when theres alcohol who cares...

I've been to a few shall I say ummm...different ones. I'm not going to say worst b/c they were out of state and have different expectations than NYers.
1. I was MOH in our good friends wedding (a) Her limo company called an hour before the wedding and told her that her limo was in an accident (we didn't believe it, think they double booked) and she would be unable to be picked up. No offer of another car..nothing. Talk about stressed out. Luckily she used a diff. company for our limo bus so she rode with us and then they went back for the guys.
(b) FH gave her away b/c her father had passed. The preacher was so old and senile he forgot to ask FH to hand her over! He got all the way to the vows before he realized.
(c) The reception was in a community center w/ decor that left something to be desired. No alcohol was served besides beer( which you had t buy)...but you could BYOB! WHAT?....anyway, they never told anyone so everyone who happened to know was being hawked by the others asking if they could get a drink
2. The last one I went to this June was also OOT and it was halfway decent. It was in a community center also but they tried to spice it up w/ decor. The issues? (a) The buffet line servers were in jeans and sneakers. They were stingy as heck too! They'd give a teaspoon of rice and when you didn' t move your plate to move on they looked at you as though you were mad.
(b) They served HI-C fruit punch (which i detest...and that is just wrong anyway) in their punch fountain. How do we know b/c they put the extras right under the table in full view. That's not the worst. They ran out! And did NOTHING about it. Didn't apologize, nada. Luckily for us being in the community center is that there were VENDING MACHINES that half of the room went to get drinks from...
And this is why I LOVE NY!!!
eta: I still had a blast at either one. Honestly I'm the MacGiver of fun, give me some duct tape, a paper bag and some gum and we're partying! LOL

I went to an outdoor wedding where the entire cocktail hour was a keg truck with plastic solo cups and some pretzels and peanuts next to the keg truck. Then for dinner, there was a buffet line, but the only thing served was make your own burritos, so there was a tin of wraps, then one of chicken, then one of rice, and one of cheese. And that was it!! Plus it was cash bar for the entire reception, which was fine, except we had no idea and didnt bring any money. Then their band was a guitar and a banjo playing some random bluegrass that you cant really dance to. It was just so random!

We went to one upstate (Westchester, so not too far and out of touch)
The CH at first had some different things. A station in each corner of the room then chesse and crackers and stuff in the center.
After the good stuff ran out, they would fill it all in with another pasta station until there were 4 pasta stations (the cheapest crap). It wasnt even good.
The brides father made a half hour speach. The food was icky and the music stunk...no one danced.
It wasnt completely horrble, but it was the worst had been to.
