But One- even if you have the RD here, it's not going to take away from your wedding

Two- look online for reviews of the place, see if you can find bad ones and print them out, give them to FH to show FIL's and see if that helps. If not, tell FH to suck it up and make him tell them he didn't like the food there and he wants to change the venue.

If your FH agrees with you, why can't he talk to them?

If you two aren't happy, then why are they pushing it on you?

Can you tell them thanks but no thanks and pay for the RD yourself and plan it how you want it?

I really don't blame you for not wanting to use a place if you find the food to be so bad ... Do the FIL's normally have good taste in food? Maybe try to explain to them that a spot (regardless of bad food) so far away from the church is just too inconvenient. I mean, the whole point to the RD is to keep everyone close by, right?

Yes they usually have really good tastes in restaurants! Them picking this place is like so out of left field !
