worth it to get prints from your photographer?

worth it to get prints from your photographer?

If you're getting all of your edited images in high res on a disc, is it worth it to order prints directly from your photographer (or have any included in the package).

Is there honestly a detectable difference in quality getting it printed from the photographer rather than just having them printed at a photo lab?

ETA - I'm not talking about printed proofs. I'm talking about printed photographs -- 5x7s and 8x10s. Is it worth it to pay the money to get them from the photographer instead of having them printed at a photo lab?

You should get printed proofs (if you're not getting the negatives) AND proofs on a disk.

No, not printed proofs. I mean printed photographs -- like 5x7, 8x10 etc.

No, I don't think so. We have some included in our package, but anything besides those that we want we will print on our own.

I'm searching for a photo that will offer my images on a digital disc just so that I can print the images on my own at a fraction. I also plan on doing the parent albums on my own. All I want from the photo. is a digital album, proofs, digital images, and coverage.

I got all my proofs on a CD but it is protected...anyone know a way I can get around this to copy and save to my PC so I can upload to Snapfish or somewhere so I can get prints made cheaper? It is a crime what they charge you for a print...a 4x6 is $20-something!!! So crazy!

I would not buy your prints from the photographer....I got all of mine at mpix.com - they are professional quality - you would not know the difference from a professional print.
