I know its held in Jan. and we have about 7 more months to go till it happens but FH and I have been talking about it again. We are looking forward to going so badly. If he can't make it I am bringing my sister in law to the event this year.
I am even looking at a new dress to buy for it IoI
Anyway anyone heard any rumours of where and when yet?

you MUST have been married in the previous year to be in the BP (so only 07 brides are allowed to apply)
last year they did a Maid of Honor for the first time-- which allowed a bride-to-be to be part of the party...but otherwise the entire party is made up of already married ladies.
But who decides on the people that are getting married????
its a random drawing. anyone interesting in being part of the BP---sends an FM to Kim at ClientServices....which includes a pic from your wedding. then they put all the pics (with screen names on the back) in a bowl or something, and randomly pull out names to make up the BP.
then the last one pulled out is the couple that will be the bride & groom. they do all of this on video and post it on LIWeddings.tv to keep it fair

I was thinking the same thing! I'd love to be the bride, but i'd be just as happy if I got to be a bm, so exciting!! that'll be in 2009 though, lol

when the registration starts you just have to order you tix soon--since its first come first serve basis
it really is a great time. i loved the vienesse last year at CLM--so freaking good!

yeah i questioned kim about it bc we might go away in jan. she said most likely the 19th but it wasnt def and i asked if it would be at CLM again but that wasn't decided. I CANT WAIT!!!! so excited! i have to get my posts up fast. last year they had a contest to see who posted the most. I am determined to get more than Denise! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA like that will ever happen. (no offense denise)

no if u look at the last WOTY the couple was already married.. it's like a mock wedding with all LIW vendors...
but then again i'm not 100% sure how all of it works..

It is a mock wedding. The brides and wedding party is all ready married (bp is typically all ready married). You can bring a guest or your FH but you have to come. Only you and one other person any more is not allowed.
We get to be picked in 09.
The whole point is for vendors to show their stuff and for you to get ideas for your wedding and/or honeymoon. Its a big wedding show basically but last years was so amazing for fh and I that we actually didn't want to leave. You get a LOT OF FREE GIFTS and its like $20 for a couple.
