FH and I want to have certian things accomplished. Its sort of like we have set goals that need to be achieved first.

I am trying my best NOT to get pregnant before the wedding. That is one of my biggest fears- I FINALLY find the man of my dreams at 33, get engaged and married at 35 and then have an happy 'accident' five months before the wedding I have spent a year planning.
But as soon as the wedding is over- bring it on!!!!

Yes, I definitely would have had kids before getting married. I just didn't happen to be ready at the time.

Just out of curiosity, why are you waiting so long (until 2006) to have the wedding? Is it for financial reasons - I mean, because you could always push up the date.

No, I don't believe in having children before marraige. Just my personal feelings on the matter.

No, but we'd like to be preggos right away. We might start 'flying w/o a net' a month before. I don't think it will happen right away (for reasons that are just TMI) and the fact that I'll be 35 and that isn't helping.

No, its my own personal beliefs. I could not stand before God and the church being pregnant or bear child allready. I went to catholic school and my beliefs have been really dwelled into my head for yrs and then coming from a very religious family and FH very very religious--- no way I could either- however it is NOT wrong to have them before if its what you believe in and things happen. its just life but if I had to choose I say NO.

I would not personally allow myself to conceive a child before marriage. As far as I am concerned, there is a natural order of things.
However, being that I am going to be close to 36 years old with a family history of issues surrounding pregnancies, I do plan of having every pre-natal test known to man to make sure I can have a healthy child. Before marriage I will make sure I am tested for Tay Sach's - a disease prevalent in Jews of eastern Eurpean ancestry.
I also plan on going off birth control right after the wedding as it will take many cycles to prepare my body to conceive.

I seriously would hope nothing happens in the next four months...we have been together almost 9 years and are finally getting married - I want to be a wife first, mother second since I know once the baby comes I will totally ignore fh!

I don't want children until me and FH are married for at least 5 years. I am just excited to have some nice married alone time with FH - and maybe to travel some too (which is definitely harder with little ones)!

I had thought about this. I love children and I love my FH he is going to make a great father. He really wants a nice sized family. Plus we will have our newly built house by next year April anyway.

I look forward to having kids-but not before the wedding-I'd like to wait at least a year to enjoy each other and married life then bring on my babies!
