Would it be crazy of me...

to call all of my family members and make sure theyre all coming to the wedding even if they RSVP'ed??? The reason I ask is because I just sent a my space message to my cousin telling him how excited I am to see him and his wife and he messaged me back, I dont think she's gonna be coming with me. But I dont think he was ever going to tell me. Now Im worried about no shows when there are people who I could invite that I REALLY wanna be there.

YES - we had SEVERAL no-shows at the wedding & i was very upset about it!

I plan on having my mom & sis call our side of the fam. THey are known to either not come after saying yes or worse come & think they can bring more peeps

We had 1 no show (his aunt and her guest) but we also had friends from his old job come with extra people (also from his old job). As it turned out, our count pretty much evened out, but the problem came in with one of the tables. 2 people were supposed to come as single and brought last minute guests (also 2 ex-coworkers), but that ended up bringing my table count to 15. They didn't want to be split up (I can definitely understand that, none of them knew anyone else) and they ended up making a seperate table for them. My biggest concern was that it was an uncomfortable situation for the guests and the country club, but my maitre'd was spectacular about it. I say if you feel strongly about it, call. You don't need any unneccessary stress before your big day and you should do what makes you most comfortable.

I like that idea! Takes some of the pressure off of her.

if youre worried about them not showing up then sure call them!! i dont see any problem with just double checking on people.

if you are worried i would say call them!!!

i just dont get why people are soo rude. i mean i can understand last minute things like getting sick or an emergency but to say you are coming and then not i hate when people do that. or when people bring more than hte person they are invited with...

this i dont get at all i mean what do they think that you can and will accomodate everyone. geez people need some manners haha sorry i just get mad regarding this lol

I swear to your that some people don't understand the cost that goes intoa wedding or minimums.

If you feel like some of your guests are going to be flaky that call them.

BUT

You may be so busy and enthralled with the day you won't even miss the people that didn't show.
