Would it be terribly wrong to send STD announcements over the internet?
Has anyone ever done this before? I was looking at the knot and they allow you to send nice e-cards.

i sent real ones, but followed up with the e-cards...because our date changed. i think it depends on how old your crowd is and their computer usage....wouldn't have worked for us really as too many of our family members are older and don't even own a computer.

No way dude! Ithink its a great idea!!
Cheap and practical. I hesitiated doing that because we have alot of non-internet-savvy guests coming.
But I say go for it!

it might be cool initially, but I think the point of a STD is a way for your guests to keep a reminder 'in their face'. I have a coworker who says he sees my magnet on his fridge every day! I love that! A STD via e-mail will just get deleted - and possibly forgotten. Maybe you can send a hard copy STD... and then a folow-up reminder via e-mail to be trendy. .

I'd be surprised if all of the guests were computer savy. My mom still doesn't even know how to type in web-sites. I tell her it's www.liweddings.com and she types that into the google search bar.
I think for friends that's a great idea. Family - not so much. But really it's just the STD - go for it!

I think it is a great idea.. just remember some people don't have the internet and some people are technologically challenged.

I'm not sure. I think I would not use the internet, things can get lost and messages not always delivered...
